About Diana

    Diana R. Davidow is a Artist who works in Watercolor, Pastel, and Mixed Media.  She moved from New York to Southern California, and began to paint after her two daughters went off to college. 

    Diana studied Watercolor under, Shelley Lazarus, Charles Reid, William Lawrence, and Ted Nuttal; Pastel teachers include Wolf Kahn, Diane Townsand, Maggie Price, and Sally Strand.

    Her work has been collected by art lovers from East Hampton NY, Atlanta GA, Chicago IL, and California.

    Diana’s subjects vary as her passion for each of them grows.  They range from portraits, to landscapes, to nude figures. 

    Diana is founder of the Davidow Counseling Center at “A Place Called Home” in South Los Angeles. She is currently Director of Counseling at “Youth Mentoring Connection”.  Inspired by her work with at risk youth in South Los Angeles, she is currently creating the “Peoples of the World” series.

     Diana paints in her light-filled studio/gallery on the Venice Canals in southern California.  There you can find her most days blissfully elbow deep in Water Media and bright Pastels.
